Recruitment Consultant – HGV Driver Placements

About Us Driver Hire Training is a leading provider of professional driver training across the UK. We support individuals in gaining their HGV licences and help them take the next step into employment. As demand for qualified drivers continues to grow, we’re expanding our team to ensure our delegates are placed into meaningful, long-term roles. The Role We’re looking for a proactive and results-driven Recruitment Consultant to focus on placing newly qualified HGV drivers into permanent roles across the UK. As a Recruitment Consultant, you’ll play a key part in bridging the gap between training and employment - sourcing job opportunities, building employer relationships, and supporting our delegates into work. This is the start of an exciting journey for us, and you will be there at the start. We have an existing supply of newly qualified drivers that we have trained, and extensive connections to customers across the logistics industry who already take our services across the wider group. In time, there is an opportunity to build a team as we deliver on this opportunity. This is a fantastic role for a Recruitment Consultant who enjoys building relationships, understands the logistics or transport sector, and is passionate about helping people start their careers. Key Responsibilities As a Recruitment Consultant, you will: * Source and secure permanent job opportunities for newly qualified HGV drivers * Build strong relationships with local and national employers in the transport and logistics sector * Match candidates to suitable roles based on skills, location, and career goals * Maintain regular contact with delegates post-training to support their job search * Collaborate with the training team to understand delegate readiness and availability * Track placement success and maintain accurate records in our CRM * Promote our placement service to employers and identify new business opportunities in key training regions * Run weekly or ad hoc delegate reports from CRM system, to send to companies, detailing delegate’s training and location * Conduct initial interviews and manage the interview process What We’re Looking For To succeed as a Recruitment Consultant, you'll need: * Experience in recruitment, resourcing, and business development (ideally in logistics or transport) * Strong communication and relationship-building skills * A proactive, self-motivated approach to sourcing opportunities * Understanding of the HGV driver market and employment landscape is a plus * Ability to manage multiple vacancies and candidates across different regions * Comfortable working to targets and KPIs What We Offer * Competitive salary + commission * Supportive team environment with ongoing training * Opportunities for career progression within a growing business * Continuous supply of Newly Qualified candidates and extensive databases of existing customers * Flexible working options * The chance to make a real difference in people’s lives Interested?
